Ever since they opened up a second brewery in Asheville NC, those of us on the less hippified side of the Mississippi can get a lot fresher stuff now. I’m happy. Oskar Blues also opened an NC brewery. I love them as much as any brewery out there (except maybe Lagunitas).

I should also note, I celebrated my most recent birthday in November at the New Belgium brewery in Asheville. Their Dubbel is quite good.

I’ve had Flat Tyre before though and Hand Brake ciders. Lol.

Not great. I’ll stick to the pear ciders.

I’m supping Guinness (well finished three, about to start enjoying a fourth).

My wife drinks the ciders and the mikes hard lemonade type flavors for the Glutenless factor.

It took me a while to drink and enjoy Guinness. Good stuff now.

The 100 Acre Wood rally trophy ceremony and dinner (a few years ago) had fat tire on tap & free, I was bummed I could only have 1 because I was driving myself.

I’m dealing with a cold, and as usual when i’m sick I lose my taste for beer until I’m better. Taking plenty of meds though, some of which have alcohol, so I’m not totally out of it.

I like IPAs, wheat ales are a different matter.

The Guinness and Newcastle Brown Ales are the same as far as I’m aware.

A coworker (with 20 years in) put in his 2 week notice today and they basically let him go. He is going to be working with another coworker who allegedly embezzled money from the company. I saw him on his way out and asked about some jobs and he said “technically I don’t work here anymore.”
